HOW DO I KNOW HOW MANY CARPET TILES TO PURCHASE?

To find out how many EZ Carpet tiles you need for your particular space, you will first need to measure the floor you want to cover. Once you know the size of your floor, you can use our calculator on each product page to determine our best recommendation based on the square footage you provided. If you are unsure how to convert your measurements into square feet, simply multiply length x width. So, if you have a room that is 10 x 10, you are needing to cover 100 square feet, in which case our calculator will tell you that you need 3 boxes of EZ Carpet tiles.

WHAT ARE EZ CARPET TILES MADE OF?

EZ Carpet tiles are manufactured in a variety of face fibers including polyester, nylon, and polypropylene. We offer two backing options, exclusive to EZ Carpet known as DuraStep and EZcushion. DuraStep and EZcushion backing technologies use polypropylene and polyurethane to create a lightweight, durable back to our products without the use of latex.

WHAT IS DURASTEP BACKING?

EZ Carpet tiles made with DuraStep backing are made to be lightweight, durable and flexible. DuraStep backing is engineered to give EZ Carpet tiles more value than just the face fibers you see on the surface. DuraStep carpet tiles are coated with a protective layer of Scotchgard ™ to help resist minor stains and soil and Ultra-Fresh antimicrobial to help prevent the inner layers of the tiles from odor-causing bacteria and fungi. DuraStep carpet tiles are moisture resistant due to DuraStep’s combination of using polyurethane and polypropylene which are not affected by moisture. They create a strong barrier to help increase the lifetime of the tiles. DuraStep carpet tiles contain no latex which allows them to be softer, and more durable without flattening or crumbling onto the surface after minimal wear.

WHAT IS EZCUSHION BACKING?

EZcushion backing technology offers premium underfoot comfort by providing an attached cushion to the base of the EZ Carpet tile. EZcushion carpet tiles take our traditional backing, DuraStep, a step forward for applications needing an extra touch of comfort. Unlike similar attached cushion carpet tiles, EZcushion is manufactured with polyurethane and contains an additional protective layer for damage free replacements. This additional layer provides a barrier between the cushion and your floor, making replacements and repositioning easier, and damage free for both your floor and your EZ Carpet tile. Like DuraStep, EZcushion carpet tiles are treated with Scotchgard ™ Soil and Stain protection and Ultra-Fresh Antimicrobial to help keep your floors looking and feeling fresh. EZcushion attached foam cushion backing is built to maximize comfort while protecting your floors.

WHERE ARE EZ CARPET TILES MADE?

INSTALLATION/ MAINTENANCE

WHERE CAN EZ CARPET TILES BE INSTALLED?

EZ Carpet tiles can be installed almost anywhere! With the exception to our Turf tile, Sport Turf, EZ Carpet tiles should be installed in any indoor area that has a clean, flat, hard, dry floor. Sport turf tiles may be installed both indoors as well as outdoors. This Turf tile measures 23.5” x 23.5” and is made out of 100% texturized Nylon and contains our formulated indoor/outdoor. Note: We do not recommend installing EZ carpet tiles over existing carpet or curving around stairs.

HOW DO YOU PICK UP OR REMOVE A TILE?

EZ Carpet tiles can be easily removed one single tile at a time for cleaning or replacements as needed.

To remove any EZ Carpet tile already stuck to the floor, carefully pick the tile up from the backing of one of the four corners. Be careful not to pull from the face fibers as this can cause damage to the tile.

HOW DO YOU CLEAN EZ CARPET TILES?

Cleaning EZ Carpet tiles is actually very simple. To clean your EZ Carpet tiles from normal day-to-day dirt from foot traffic, it is a good idea to vacuum regularly. To clean any spot stains, it is important to clean the carpet tile as soon as the stain is noticed for best results. For cleaning spills or stains in general, first blot off any excess liquid from the tile, remove the tile from one of the corners and apply a mild detergent or carpet cleaner to the spot. Once you have worked in the detergent, rinse the tile under running water. Always remember to dry the tile off completely before replacing it onto your floor. Never use a citrus product when cleaning your EZ Carpet tiles, citrus cleaning products will cause the tile to lose its adhesive backing and you will no longer be able to use the tile without an additional adhesive.

HOW DO I STORE EXTRA TILES LEFTOVER FROM INSTALLATION?

It is a good idea to order an extra box of  EZ Carpet tiles to use for replacements down the road. If you decide to order excess or have tiles leftover after installation, the best way to store them is in a covered, temperature controlled room. Heat and humidity can adversely affect the performance of the adhesive backing, paying attention to where you are storing your tiles will play a critical role in their performance.
